The Non-Reds Frankenset: Cards #343 - 378

It's been a long time since I last worked on my non-Reds Frankenset (January 2024, to be precise).  It's time to change that right now and add another four pages to my set binder!

Cards 343 - 351:

Best card on the page:   The Future Stars Kris Bryant is probably most people's pick but I'm giving the nod to the Fernando Tatis card where he is signing a bunch of autographs.  I'm a sucker for cards like that (even if it is a Cardinal featured)!
Worst card on the page:  The missing card number is the worst, but of the eight actual cards I'd say the Ron Coomer is the most boring, you can't even see his face nor can you make out who the Royal's fielder is trying to make the play.  Poor cropping all the way around.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347

Cards 352 - 360:

Best card on the page:  The Derek Jeter rookie from my childhood (slightly rounded corners and all) has to take the nod but there are a bunch of nice cards on the page (the Luis Rivera is a standout as are the two United We Stand subset cards).
Worst card on the page:  The A.J. Pierzynski card is the worst, but even that one is kind of nice.  No real weak links on this page if you ask me.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353

Cards 361 - 369:

Best card on the page:  Honestly, all of them (other than the Jerald Clark card) are great in their own way!  If I had to pick one, I'd go with the Carlos Hernadnez card but I like them all!
Worst card on the page:  I already mentioned it but the Jerald Clark card isn't great.  It's not horrible, but I do think I could probably find a better representative for that card number down the line.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369

Cards 370 - 378:

Best card on the page:  That Sparky Anderson from 1981 Donruss is pretty sweet.
Worst card on the page:  Somehow Jeff Brantley showed up twice on this page (and neither time as a Red)!  I like his Topps card but that 1990 Score card isn't great.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375

That does it for today's addition to the non-Reds Frankenset.  As the card numbers get higher, there's a drastic drop off in terms of number of different sets represented.  Not so coincidentally, there's also been quite a bit of growth on the missing numbers list which is too bad.  Then again, I guess having something to look for in the future will give me a solid reason to return to my Frankenset!

  1. Always liked Marlon Byrd when he was on my Mets, but I don't remember him being quite that cool! B^)

  2. It's so cool that the Jeter is from your childhood collection. It's those kind of cards that are truly priceless.
