Parallel set: Gold Signature
Yep, another Gold Signature parallel from the 1996 Collector's Choice set. The gold border on this card helps to at least differentiate the parallel at a glance (it can be easy to overlook the color of the foil in the faux signature) unlike the You Make the Play insert I showed off a few days ago. Other than the border and foil color, there isn't much else to discuss with this parallel. I guess I could mention the rather hideous pink and black background on the left side of the card, but then again, sometimes it is actually better to not draw the viewer's attention to eye-burning card design choices!
I remember Valentin have a few solid years with the Red Sox back in the 90's... but it's still weird to see him rated above Ripken.
