Today, I wanted to quickly show off a recent eBay purchase that I made where I was able to acquire a smattering of mini inserts from the 2024 Allen & Ginter set:
Some of the above minis I also ended up (accidentally) trading for, but at least a few of them are actual needs for my set build! In particular, the two Ballpark Bites I know I still needed. It's also worth a quick decision as to which is better at a baseball game: the classic hot dog or the slightly more upscale Polish sausage? Obviously, I'm more of a nachos kind of guy but if I had to choose between the two tubes of meat I think I'd go with the hot dog if I'm at a game. However, if I'm at home and can prepare them on the grill my way making sure I have quality meats, I think I'd go Polish Sausage. How about you?
Turning back to the concept of set builds, I have a full base set of 2024 Topps Allen & Ginter (cards 1-350) available for trade or sale. I'm asking $55 for the set (plus shipping). I also have a second base set of 2024 A&G that's nearly complete (#1 - 350), it's missing about 15 cards mostly short prints. For that set, I'm asking $45 (plus shipping).
As always, I'm also up for trading!
Hmmm...I'm too cheap to buy ballpark food even on the rare occasions I go to a game. (And if I'm going to Citi Field I make sure to hit one of the great little Asian places in the area--only place I know where you can get Singapore style char kway teow in the US!) I'm happy with either but I guess I'm more likely to go for Polish sausage.
ReplyDeleteI only ever get ballpark food at San Jose (smart enough to paper the house so I feel no guilt about buying dinner). My go-to as a kid was the polish and while my bbq choices are more varied now there's always something comforting about getting a polish dog.
