TCDB Monday!

We've made it to the final week of February and I couldn't be more excited.  Two days ago, I watched my first MLB Spring Training game, and this week, the temperature is forecasted above freezing where I live.  Spring is coming, even if it always takes longer than I wish it would to arrive!

While I wait for truly warm days, at least I have some recent TCDB trades to keep me in the springtime mood!  We'll start with a trade with user Zombass Musky:

My goal of collecting most of the 2024 Topps Allen & Ginter mini sets is still underway, but so long as I can keep making progress I'm happy!  The above card is from the 50 States set and it's for one of the states that I've never personally visited.  My youngest brother lives out in Kansas now, so hopefully I make it to the "breadbasket of America" sometime this coming summer!

Next up, from user adamhobson comes two more of the 2025 Topps 1990 35th Anniversary Silver Pack Chrome cards.

The 1990 Topps design really pops with the Chrome treatment and I'm looking forward to building the full 100-card set from this year's Topps flagship set.  In addition to the bright colors, I do like that Topps seems to have tied specific color combinations to specific teams (I'll be able to more easily verify this once I get a few more cards from the set but you can see the two Yankees above both share the same border colors).

We'll stick with the shiny Chrome theme as we move to my final TCDB trade of the week, this one being with user herkojerko:

Yep, three cards closer to completing the 1990 35th Anniversary set!  I have to say, I'm no Cardinals fan but that Arenado is a sharp looking card (especially with the red border)!  It's also nice to see Larry Walker featured as an Expos player, especially on the 1990 Topps design!

It might not have been the busiest week on TCDB that I've ever had, but I'd say it was a solid batch of trades!  Now that 2025 Topps is out amongst the masses, I anticipate quite a few more upcoming trades as I continue to try to build the 100-card set!  I'm also still actively searching for the last few 2024 Allen & Ginter cards I need, though most of that trade well seems to have dried up for me!
