About a month ago, I decided to sign my son up for a Reds Fan Pack. My son (who turns 7 in May) often says he never gets any mail, so I thought he'd enjoy opening a package addressed to him. Luckily, he was fine with me snapping a few photographs of the Fan Pack contents before he squirreled the goodies away in his various boxes and binders.
The Reds sent a nice care package, which included a sheet of stickers.
The "Juncta Juvant" is the motto of the city of Cincinnati. The motto can be translated as "Strength in Unity" or "Together they Help." The rest of the sticker sheet has a definite City Connect flair to it, lots of black, which matches the Reds' City Connect uniforms.
The other part of the Fan Pack was more interesting to me - a nice stack of baseball cards:
The Reds have way too many mascots, and if you didn't know that before, you do now once you realize that there are FOUR different cards in the Mascot set (plus a Hunter Green card for good measure).
Overall, the full contents of the 2025 Reds' Fan Pack looks like this:
The inclusion of the cards is a nice touch for young collectors (plus who doesn't love stickers)?! The Reds also included a pair of schedules. One is the common pocket schedule, while the other is a less common sticker schedule. I guess there is a Reds' decision maker who likes stickers quite a bit!
I'll admit that it's not the most exciting team Fan Pack that I've seen posted on the blogs, BUT it is 100% free, and that fact shouldn't be forgotten. In the end, my son was happy with his mail day, and that's what mattered the most to me. Thanks to the Reds for making my son's day!

Cool. I can remember being a kid at that age, and I'd love that. But, yeah, the ratio of mascots to players is out of hand.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool that the Reds still do this. Back when I taught 5th grade, my students had to learn how to write a formal letter. They would choose their favorite corporation and write a letter to them. I'd use sports franchises as examples and every now and then, they'd receive a fan pack from a team.
ReplyDeleteP.S. That's a lot of mascots. Not gonna lie... I love them though.
