It's rather late on Friday, but here I am in the nick of time for a Board Game Friday post on an actual Friday! Today, we are going to take a look at the results of the March 2025 BoardGameGeek Math Trade.
Quite some time ago, I accidentally purchased an expansion to the game Talisman thinking I was actually buying the base game Talisman. Obviously, without the base game, the expansion was worthless to me, so I was simply happy to trade it away for almost any game on my want list.
Giving: Talisman (Revised 4th Edition): The Firelands Expansion
Quite some time ago, I accidentally purchased an expansion to the game Talisman thinking I was actually buying the base game Talisman. Obviously, without the base game, the expansion was worthless to me, so I was simply happy to trade it away for almost any game on my want list.
Getting: Khôra: Rise of an Empire
As luck would have it, I was able to swap the useless (to me) expansion for Khôra: Rise of an Empire, which is a game I've had my eye on for quite some time! Sure, my copy of the expansion was brand new in shrink, and the game I got in return was used, but that's perfectly fine with me. I haven't yet had a chance to try my new game, but hopefully I'll get it to the table soon!
All things considered, the March Math Trade was a good one for me. I am completely starved for space for my board games, so anytime I can get rid of one I don't want (or, in this case, can't actually use), that's great news for me. I also love to trade (rather than purchase) games for financial reasons, plus I simply love trying new games and trading is by far the best way to try all sorts of stuff.
