A few weeks ago, I placed a "ship now" order on my COMC cart. Luckily, the site isn't nearly as backed up as it was during Covid times (though shipping times are still slower than I'd prefer). No matter, the package arrived late last week, so let's take a look at some of the goodies that I was able to have delivered.
We'll start with the largest card in the package - this 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter Cabinet card from the Wonders of the World set.
I have been working on this box topper set since the 2013 set's release and I'm pleased to say that I'm now within a single card of completing the set. My lone remaining need is card #1 in the set (Great Pyramid of Giza). I'd love to finish this one off in 2025, a full dozen years after the set's release!
While I wasn't quite able to finish off the 2013 Wonders of the World set, I was able to finish off a different set:
That's the last of the 2009 Topps Heritage Rookie Performer cards that I needed. McCutchen's card has languished on my want list for nearly two decades at this point. I'm certainly pleased to finally put that particular set to bed. Topps has all but killed the Heritage brand for me, given how hard the set is to complete for set collectors (I'm still not done with the base '09 Heritage set as I'm missing card #698).
Finally, we end with another card from 2009:
That's a 2009 Topps American Heritage insert from the American Presidents set. This is a set that I decided to try and collect back in '09, but given that I'm still missing 24 cards from the set, this could be a set that I give up on this year. Truth be told, I'm sick of politics in general so the appeal of an all Presidents set is less attractive than it might have been back in 2009.
I'll have plenty more goodies to show off from my COMC purchase in future posts - but for now, I've got to dig out some binders that haven't been updated in a while and fill in a few more pocket pages!

That Wonders of the World Cabinet set is pretty sweet. Looks like there is a Golden Gate Bridge card in that set that I'm going to try and track down. Best of luck adding the Great Pyramid of Giza to complete your set build.
