TCDB Monday!

Today is an exciting Monday because it marks the last week of the spring semester for me.  After this week's classes, I'll only have to give (and grade) a pair of final exams next week, and then it's officially summer vacation time!  Being a professor has many downsides, but the summer makes up for an awful lot if you ask me.

With all that said, the past few weeks have been incredibly busy, so my TCDB trading has taken a backseat.  While I may not have been able to trade as much as I'd like, I did manage to complete one trade that happened to be larger than usual, thanks to TCDB user Mokolai.

I was able to swing a deal for nine needed cards, all from 2024 Topps Allen & Ginter.  The largest portion of the trade helped to put a nice dent into my Chrome Refractor want list:

That's five needed Chrome Refractors, including Shohei Ohtani (a card that no one seems to want to trade away)!  I now own 82 of the 100 Chrome Refractors, a solid amount of progress considering the set isn't yet a full year old.  Of course, as time goes on, it does get harder and harder to find trade partners, but trades like this continually remind me that there's still hope to build sets from last year!

Next, we stick with Chrome, but this time it's the mini form:

Yep, two more Chrome minis.  This is the other 100-card set that I'm attempting to build.  With both Elly (hooray)! and Jackson in my possession, I am now the proud owner of 89 of the 100 Chrome mini cards.  Since I am so close to completing this set, here's what I am still searching for:

Finally, I was also able to inch a bit closer to two of the 2024 A&G mini insert sets:

Another flag card and another US State card.  I'm now two cards away from completing the 50 US States set and only one card away from completing the Flags of the World set.  

That does it for last week over on TCDB.  I'm certainly happy to do any trading - and in a week when I only managed to complete one trade, at least it was a fairly large one that helped me make progress on multiple sets at once!
