One of the best perks of my job is that I get nearly a month off from work around the holidays. Unfortunately for me, that vacation is now done! Today, I return to the classroom for the spring semester - and while I'm excited to be back, I have a super busy semester with a brand new prep (yep, 18 years of teaching and I'm still finding new classes to teach)! I fully expect that my blogging time will be adversely affected due to lesson prep, etc., but that's a problem for future days on the blog! Today, I'm here to show off a bunch of trade packages that I have received from trades I agreed to back when I was still on vacation!
In fact, my trades were so numerous that I'm going to have to split up my TCDB haul into multiple posts - so if nothing else, I'll have something to talk about next Monday as well!
Let's kick off the mailbag party with a trade with user sparkchaser 41:
It's a trio of shiny cards: two from the 1990 Topps All-Star Chrome Mojo set from last year's Topps Series 2, as well as a new-to-me Barry Larkin card from the 2025 Donruss set (this one is #/199). Most of my trading (as you'll soon see) has involved 2025 Allen & Ginter, but that doesn't mean that I'm not interested in finishing off some of the other sets on my want list as well!
Next, from user SteelCityArab comes the first couple of A&G minis for today's portion of the mailbag!
I enjoy most of this year's A&G mini sets, but I have to admit that the beach cards don't work for me. First, you can barely make out any details on most of the beach cards - and if you flip the cards over, the itty bitty card number is way too small (plus the choice of font for the beach description on the card back is also difficult to read).
My third package is from user jencola71:
I decided that I would try to collect the full 2025 Topps Holiday base set, plus the Making the Nice List insert set (the latter of which is an Advent Calendar exclusive). I'm also happy to land a pair of Barry Larkin cards that I needed from this year's Panini Prizm set.
Next, from user Grillmycheez comes the one 2025 A&G base card that I didn't get in any of my boxes, plus some assorted minis:
It feels good to (finally) have the base set complete! With the final short print in my binder, I can officially announce that 2025 A&G is my first completed set of 2026! Last year, I completed a total of 15 sets from my want list, so it's good to get on the board early in 2026 if I hope to have similar results this year.
Next, from user volleysmib comes more A&G minis!
The fish card is my clear favorite from this small batch of minis. I'm a sucker for fish cards!
Finally, let's end today's mailbag post with a single card from user yessamekim:
Yep, another bird card to round out this portion of the holiday mailings. As I said at the top of the post, I have another big batch of trades envelopes to show off yet, but those will have to wait for a future TCDB post.

That's crazy that you can open that many boxes and still not get all the cards in the set. Congrats on finishing it though.
