It took me several weeks to get caught up on my TCDB posts, now I aim to get caught up on some of the other packages that have arrived at my house over the past few *checks calendar* months.
Today, I've got a surprise Christmas card from Fuji (of Chronicles of Fuji fame) to show off. The card arrived a bit after the 1st of the year, so it's definitely time for me to highlight Fuji's generosity!
We'll begin with a smattering of assorted Reds cards.
I've never heard of Byron Wiley, but that Elly card is very nice (and will be going into my son's collection)! The Hays is the Plaid parallel from the 2025 Holiday set. I had toyed with the idea of collecting the full Plaid set, but my better judgment won out, and I won't be going after the Advent Calendar exclusive parallels!
In addition to the above cards, Fuji also sent me a cellophane-wrapped pack that I had no idea what it was exactly:
So of course, I had to open it!
It turns out it was a National Baseball Card Day pack from 2018. I don't have any hobby shops near me, so I miss out on stuff like this each year. Of the four cards in my pack, I think the Nick Williams card is the clear winner - the horizontal look works well with the 2018 card design.
Many, many thanks to Fuji, not just for the surprise holiday mailing, but also for years of reading and commenting on my blog (and everyone else's), plus authoring his own amazing blog. Sorry it took me so long to get a post written!
