The 1989 Topps set is one of my favorite designs, mostly because this is the first set the I recall getting a lot of as a kid. Now, as a set collector, I appreciate the card backs for the exceedingly easy-to-read numbers (something that I fault the 2009 Topps set for). As for this particular Larkin card, it shows Barry in the midst of what looks like a swing for a double. It's a refreshing change of pace because most Larkin cards up until this point have all been still shots.

I managed to pick up 6 vending boxes for $2 ea and only got 1 Barry Larkin card in them. But it was perfect! Great set and design on this one.
