The first series of the 1991 Donruss set featured a Diamond Kings version of Barry Larkin. The second series featured Larkin's actual base card. With the Reds bright red uniforms and the bright green Donruss Series 2 borders, this card looks like it should have been a Christmas card special...much like those Christmas Ornaments that Pacific randomly inserted into packs around the turn of the millennium.  As for the card itself, it's not one of my favorite Larkin cards. In fact, of the 13 cards that I've scanned and written about, this one is probably my least favorite. That's ok though, because the next few Larkin cards to be featured include a couple of my all-time favorites!

It turns out there are three versions of this card - the regular pack version (shown above), a variation pack version (same as above except no period after the "Inc" at the top of the back of the card), and a factory set version (different stripe pattern on the front of the card).
