The third (of three) 2009 Topps Series 2 packs from Target. You can find the first pack here and the second pack on the blog A Pack to be Named Later of which I am also a contributor.
Let's dig in:
Base:
434. Detroit Power Authority (Guillen & Cabrera)
453. Javier Valentin
515. Gary Sheffield
520. Adrian Gonzalez
548. John Danks
552. Eric Byrnes
563. Francisco Cordero
576. Don Wakamatsu I love this photo. I think because Don looks like a Little League coach flashing the signs to the hitter and runners. It even looks like a house in the background at sunset - much like any Little League park might look like!
589. Ricky Romero
592. Fred Lewis
607. Jarrod Washburn
Topps Town:
Blue:
TTT35. Prince Fielder
Well, at least this pack had a couple of Reds in it (even if there's no good reason why Javier Valentin is in the set as a Red). Still, that's better than nothing. Overall, I like Series 2 - it continues everything that was good in Series 1! The photography might even be better than the first series, apparently Topps sensed that Upper Deck was down and wanted to deliver the knockout blow.
