So, apparently Manny Ramirez has tested positive for steriods.
Oh wait, you thought these numbers were all natural and the result of his attitude change?
If I were a Dodger fan, I'd be really nervous. With Manny, the Dodgers were a great team, but without him I'm guessing they aren't that much better than any other team in the NL West (they are, however, better then the Nationals even without Manny, so that's something).
So now the positive tested player list of people the average person cares about is:
1. Alex Rodriguez
2. Manny Ramirez
3. Everybody else.
I suppose, if nothing else, this ought to knock some of the Brett Favre manlove talk die down on sports shows while they bash Manny being Manny...

I wonder when we get the tell-all book about how horrible a person Manny is.
ReplyDelete"better than the Nationals w/o him"
ReplyDeleteI don't know if to laugh or cry :)
I wonder if this comes out if he's still in Boston?
Saying that Manny makes all the difference for the Dodgers is totally overlooking the magnificent production of the rest of the team. The Dodgers have been firing on all cylinders, and it's obviously going to suck Manny's gone, but it's not as though the rest of the team are just scrubs.
ReplyDeleteThe Dodgers ARE that much better than every other team in the NLW, which is why they're 13 games over .500.
Pierre will slide in, and while they lose the power element, he's a pretty good replacement.
