It's Finals Monday (and also TCDB time)!

Delivery Time! Trade with Greg from Night Owl Cards

Another day, another package of goodness! This time, it's a yellow envelope full of cards thanks to a recent trade with Greg from the excellent Night Owl Cards blog. I sent Greg some 2009 Topps Heritage cards and some 2008 Upper Deck Timeline Dodgers, as well as a few other Dodgers which you can read on his blog here. In return, Greg sent me a bunch of cards from my own want lists, including:

2009 Topps Old School (Targer version):
I'm only missing one 2009 Topps black bordered card (the Wal*Mart version) and now, thanks to three more checked off the 'ol want list, I'm only missing 22 cards from the Target version...add 'em up and I'm only 23 cards short of having three different versions of the 2009 Topps Series 1 set...almost done before the onslaught of Series 2...

87: Brad Hawpe
146: Glen Perkins
152: Cody Ransom

2009 Topps Heritage:
I'm now only missing base card #217 and a bunch of short prints. Hopefully it won't be long until this set will be in the books!
149: Adam Dunn
315: Mariano Rivera
388: 2008 World Series Game #4 - Howard Winning Homer
416: J.C. Romero

Then and Now Insert:
TN9: Bob Friend and Roy Halladay

Target Mayo:
TME-CJ: Chipper Jones

Four different Cincinnati Reds cards:
I always love when people throw in random Cincinnati Reds cards - even more so when one of them is a Barry Larkin card! Greg hit both nails on the head with the following:
1975 Topps Cincinnati Reds Team Checklist
2001 Pacific Die-Cut Ornament: Ken Griffey Jr.
This is an interesting card...I must say that whoever was the creative force behind the Pacific brand sure came up with some interesting die-cut ideas!
1981 Topps Sticker: Tom Hume
a Barry Larkin card that will get its own post as part of my Barry Larkin Collection series.

Thanks again Greg! As always, if anyone else would like to work out a trade, check out my want list and make an offer!

  1. Glad to hear the Larkin card works. It's tricky sending a Larkin card to a Larkin collector.
