Delivery Time! Trade with the Generous Troll!

One of the best, most giving bloggers out there recently completed a trade with me...none other than the famous Troll from The Collective Troll blog. I mailed off a bunch of '09 Allen & Ginter base cards, seven A&G short prints, a bunch of National Pride cards, and some '09 Topps Heritage cards. In return, I received the following:

2009 Topps:
Legends of the Game:
LLP-20. George Sisler

OK, question. What's the deal with these cards and the silver-esque border? This is the second one I have with the LLP-?? numbering...and both have silver borders.

World Baseball Classic:
BCS7. Yu Darvish

The "big name" of the non-MLB players. I don't really know much about 'ol Darvish but he's apparently pretty good.

Turkey Red:
TR52. Rich Harden

Out of all the Turkey Reds, I think Harden is one of the least deserving to be in the set...maybe that's just me though.

Topps Town Gold:
TTT12. Justin Morneau
TTT36. Ian Kinsler

Yep, I'm crazy enough to try to complete a pointless parallel set...

2009 Topps Heritage:
Real One Autograph:
ROA-TW. Ted Wieand

Hmm, interesting - this is an autograph card that doesn't say anything about it being a certified autograph anywhere on the card. Even so, it's a Red so it's awesome in my book. (Plus I love hard signed cards and Heritage autos as it is!)

2009 Allen & Ginter:
Regular back minis:

12. Jermaine Dye
24. Steve Wiebe
21. Robinson Cano
111. Jason Giambi
194. Brandon Morrow
133. Roy Halladay
259. Napoleon Bonaparte

I just keep chugging away slowly acquiring the mini cards.

Oh yeah, one more thing. The packaging probably wins "best packaging filler" for any trade I've completed this year...behold:

Words can't describe that. Plus free beer from the distillery, what more do you need?

Thanks a lot aptly named Generous Troll! And as always, if anyone else would like to work out a trade check out my want list and make an offer!

  1. the silver border on legends of the game is a walmart exclusive. target does the same with a copper/bronze color. each of the three versions also has a different picture.
