Barry Larkin Collection 32: 1993 Topps #404

Barry Larkin & Travis Fryman
Year:
1993
Brand: Topps
Subset: 1992 Topps All Stars
Card number: 404

The 1993 Topps set featured a subset of All Stars duos - one from each league per position. In an interesting break from tradition, Topps included only the 1992 stats up to the All Star Break (which implies that voting is based actual results but that's a different issue all together). I think the front of the card is a bit weird, mostly because the baseball in the background is doubling as the moon (as evidenced by all the stars in the background). I guess it's supposed to be a cute play on words but I think it's lacking in execution. My other gripe with the card is that the front says "All Star" and the back says "All-Star". Make up your mind Topps, do you use the hyphen or don't you?
