Just after that photo shoot, Paul was informed that you're only allowed to pitch one ball at a time. This was new to Paul, whose dreaded "three strikes at once" pitch was his bread and butter all throughout backyard baseball in his youth.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, Paul experienced a very inconsistent 1996 before heading to the minors for several years to figure things out. He did return to the majors in the year 2000, but baseball was never the same for poor Mr. Wilson.
"Uh, paul...I lost track of the count. I know there's one strike--how many balls are there?"
