I decided to list a bunch of stuff on eBay, including 10 Giveaway cards (I kept one for myself). That one that I kept - it turned into:
So, my question is - what in the world did I get? The top of the page is a bit confusing - and the fact that there is a stamp in the lower right corner adds to my confusion. Is Topps making true one-of-ones for every single card in their vault? Has anyone else come across something like this? None of the other cards in my collection have this stamp.
Looks like an HTA limited edition to me. They were doing that back in the early 00's. Here's an example.
ReplyDeleteA lot of their 2001 Topps have those, it is the HTA edition, which is rarer than the normal base edition, so not a bad card for post-00. I tried to trade for the Fred McGriff from that set for a while, but no one would trade me...jerks haha. But it's not a 1/1.
ReplyDeleteBe careful on these 2001 HTA edition cards. I thought I had one, just like you. To my surprise, Topps sent me a regular version.
