Contest Time!

As a Reds fan, this baseball season has been one of the best seasons in the last two decades (seriously, look it up).  As such, it's time to have a little fun with my Redlegs in their series with second place Cardinals beginning tonight on ESPN.  To enter, all you have to do is answer a few questions by commenting on this post (you must answer all five questions to be eligible).

Deadline for entry:  6:30 PM EST on Monday, August 9, 2010.

1.  How many games will the Reds win in the series with the Cardinals beginning tonight (note for the lazy, it's a three game series so don't say four or negative one unless you are truly terrible at numbers)?

2.  Which player(s) will hit the most homeruns in the series (and for tie-breakers, how many homeruns)?

3.  How many saves will be recorded in the series by each team?

4.  How many players and/or managers will get ejected during the series (and for tie-breakers, who)?

5.  If you win the contest, what team would you like cards from (and for tie-breakers, pick either the Rockies, Padres, Diamondbacks, Blue Jays, or Giants since I have plenty of cards to unload of each of those teams)?

The Prize:
I'll send the person who (first) correctly answers all the questions some cards from the team listed in question #5.
If no participant correctly answers all questions, ties will be broken as follows (the numbers refer to the above questions):
A.  #2:  How many homeruns
B.  #4:  Who?  (if applicable)
C.  #5.  Team chosen
D.  Who commented first with five full answers.

  1. Thanks for the contest, should make scoreboard watching a bit more fun this week.

I'll give the Reds the nod in this series and say they will win 2 games.

Most home runs will be a tie between Pujols and Gomes with 2 each.

For saves I will say 1 for each team.

There will be no managers ejected in this series.

For winning the contest I will gladly take whatever Cubs you wish to get rid of and as a tie-breaker I will pick the Blue Jays as well.

  3. Good idea for a contest.

I think the Reds take 2 of 3 in the series.

How about Pujols with the most homers (I know, big stretch here) with 3.

One 1 save will be recorded in the series.

    No one gets ejected.

    Detroit Tigers
