TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

Gint-a-Cuffs Winner - Who Me? Win a Complete Set of 2010 Allen & Ginter Then!

A quick look at the Gint-a-Cuffs blog informed me that I'm the "unofficial winner" of Gint-a-Cuffs.  Obviously, the big prize there is the box of Ginter (which is a pretty sweet deal for me if that's the case).

However, in order to persuade as many of you to root for me as I can - I've got my own giveaway.

IF I am declared the official winner and get the box of Ginter, I'll give away (on my blog), a COMPLETE set of 2010 Allen & Ginter, complete with all 50 short prints AND the 75 card This Day in History insert set.  The only thing more fun than one winner is two winners right?!

Now, I haven't quite decided how I'll determine who gets the set, but I guess I ought to start with this question:

Would you be interested in "winning" the complete set?  If not, what would be a better giveaway for me to do if I end up winning the box?

  1. absolutely. As a set collector, I just could not justify chasing the set via boxes again this year. Unless you play the case game, it ain't happening.

so yes! I'd love to have a chance at winning a complete set....

  3. I would love to win a complete set of A&G. I never had the chance to try and chase any of the A&G sets due to the size and expense of them. The best part of your potental contest is that this years set is the one I like the most of all the years.

  9. Wait... why can't we have 3 winners? I've been very disappointed at the lack of bribes for the Commissioner.

Final scores have not yet been posted and Play at the Plate did ask about some relic scoring clarification, so...

Would you consider running the contest if you came in second? Or first, if the price is right?

(I jest about the bribes. The scores will be the final thing.)

  10. Unfortunately, I don't really have any interest in the Strat-o-matic games since I already won one in a previous contest. If I don't win the box, I'll have to give serious thought about a giveaway/contest/something similar of some type...

I'd love to win a complete set, because after pulling the Twins cards, I could turn around and offer the rest to other team collectors. Win-win (win, win, win, win...)

  14. I think a complete set would be great. But what would be even better then a set of A&G?

Just the complete set of the Yankee Stadium Legacy =)

  15. Count me in! I think you should do your own "ginter code" and whoever solves it gets the set.... And since you're an aspiring rocket scientist (from what I could grasp from your trip to Kennedy Space Center) I know that you have the ability to come up with a crafty code

    Anyways, great giveaway idea!
