Last night marked a historic night for a generation of Reds' fans... For the first time since 2000, the Cincinnati Reds will finish the regular season with a winning record. In fact, the last time the Reds had a winning record their lineup consisted of 8 position players all out of the game of baseball ( Barry Larkin, Aaron Boone, Dmitri Young, Ken Griffey, Jr., Benito Santiago, Sean Casey, Pokey Reese, and Dante Bichette) and a manager no longer in the game (Jack McKeon).
Now that a winning record has been secured (and let's face it, that was the main goal for the 2010 Reds), it is time to focus on bigger and even better things - namely a NL Central crown. Thanks to the Cardinals loss, the Reds' magic number for the division is now 13!
