I may be busy with the group break but that doesn't mean I've totally neglected the trading aspect of my blog. Recently, I completed a rather large trade with Chris from The Call of Cardboard. I sent Chris a whole bunch of Allen & Ginter base cards, short prints, and a bunch of the Baseball Sketch inserts. In return, Chris sent me the following cards that I wanted!
2008 UD Timeline:
347 Kyle McClellan
Ah Timeline, the set the time seems to have forgotten. I wonder if anyone ever completed this set with its 300 short prints and 50 base cards (silly Upper Deck). I've actually gotten fairly close to completing it - thanks to the McClellan from Chris, I now only need 30 cards (#214, 228, 232, 235, 248, 262, 274, 276, 279, 288, 300, 302, 304, 308, 309, 332, 334, 336, 337, 339, 340, 341, 345, 356, 361, 363, 366, 373, 374, 375). I've got a big 'ol pile of these for trade, including tons of short prints if anyone can help me out!
2010 Topps:
Cards Your Mother Threw Out:
CMT-3. Ernie Banks
Another step closer to completing, I can almost taste it!
2010 Topps Allen & Ginter:
Autograph:
AGA-RN. Ricky Nolasco
I decided to half-heartedly collect the autograph set in addition to the relic set. My real goal is to complete the relics - especially since I sold two of my autographs (Tony Hawk & Jordin Sparks) from my case.
2009 Upper Deck Goudey:
208. Nolan Ryan
245. Randy Johnson
284. Ryan Bruan
Autograph:
GG-BP. Brandon Phillips
That's a really nice (on card) autograph of one of my favorite Reds... The three short prints are nice too - though I still am missing a ton of cards from '09 Goudey!
2009 Upper Deck Spectrum:
10. Nick Markakis
21. Aramis Ramirez
53. Clayton Kershaw
69. Mariano Rivera
85. Ichiro
Sheesh, this set has been almost impossible to complete - I guess I'm the only one who bought enough Spectrum to even bother with the set! Of course...one would have hoped I would have learned my lesson after 2008 - I still haven't completed that Spectrum set either!
In addition to the cards off my want list, Chris also sent a bunch of Barry Larkins my way!
Thanks a lot Chris! And, for anyone else who wants to complete a trade - check out my want list and make an offer!
