The Pinnacle box is my attempt to ensure that all group break participants get at least a few cards, no matter which team they claim. To that end, the box should succeed in my goal because I believe most boxes of '98 Pinnacle contain the complete base set! Let's see who is lurking in pack 2:
1999 Pinnacle Performers:
Pack 02:
5. Greg Maddux - Braves
18. Vladimir Guerrero - Expos
25. Ivan Rodriguez - Rangers
48. Pedro Martinez - Red Sox
I like the Pinnacle cards, even if they are a bit goofy in design. There's something irristably charming about their playfulness - they are baseball cards that don't take themselves too seriously. And yes, I just personified baseball cards, deal with it.
82. Omar Vizquel - Indians
105. Henry Rodriguez - Cubs
111. Livan Hernandez - Marlins
133. Ricky Ledee - Yankees
20 of 50. Alex Rodriguez - Swing for the Fences - Mariners
This is the second insert card already for the Mariners!
Two ad cards (both junk)
