Delivery Time! Trade with Blog Reader Matt

Now that Topps Series 1 has been out for a few weeks, the trade winds are blowing full force.  As of this exact moment, I have seven envelopes packaged to go out (plus two more almost ready) - and I have eight envelopes (plus one small box) of trades to catalog, update my needs lists, and finally post about...and that's not counting this trade!

Enough of my rambling, let's get right to it!

2011 Topps:
110.  Aroldis Chapman

It's not surprising to me that I was unable to pull this card for myself with all the blasters and rack packs that I bought.  I usually have terrible luck pulling Reds (I do manage to pull plenty of Dodgers it seems - just my luck, blech).

Diamond Duo:
DD-LJ.  Barry Larkin and Derek Jeter

As soon as I saw this card on the sell sheet I knew it was a "must own" for me.  It's too bad there is that Jeter guy taking up half the card (I kid, I kid...no really).  But still, I love it.  Did you know that Jeter still trails Larkin in trips to the All-Star game?  It's amazing since it seems like Jeter's played forever (and for a fan favorite team no less).  You'll notice it is still on my want list however, I'd like one copy for the my set binder - the other for my Barry Larkin Collection binder.

Diamond Parallels:
116.  Russell Branyan

198.  Buster Posey

And with these two diamond cards, Matt earns himself two entries into my complete set giveaway contest.  My own diamond set is progressing nicely, I'm getting closer and closer to 50% completion with every envelope I open.  Heck, by the time you actually get to read this post (there's a bunch in the queue ahead of it), I may be over the 50% threshold.

And finally, Matt managed to find a brand new Barry Larkin card (actually this is the second new Larkin card in the package since I didn't own the Larkin/Jeter one above).

1997 Collector's Choice:
The Big Show - World Headquarters Edition

17/45.  Barry Larkin

This card is exactly the same as the "normal" Big Show insert, except it was seeded at 1 per box and had a special gold stamp on it.  I had the regular version, now I have the much rarer parallel - thanks for that Matt!  This card will, of course, get its own chance to shine in my Barry Larkin Collection posts at some point.

And, as always, if anyone else would like to trade - check out my want list and make an offer!
