Group Break #5: 1993 Upper Deck: Jumbo Pack 3

1993 Upper Deck:
Jumbo Pack 3:

355.  Ken Griffey Jr. - Mariners

I still get joy out of opening a pack and seeing Griffey Jr. as the first card visible.  This is an absolutely gorgeous card of one of the all-time best outfielders in the game!
396.  Mo Vaughn - Red Sox
420.  Checklist - Mark McGwire - Athletics
311.  Jeff Parrett - Athletics
409.  John Dopson - Red Sox
311.  Jeff Parrett - Athletics
Three jumbo packs and three times I've pulled two of the same player in the same pack.  I think Upper Deck should have made the packs hold 26 players and not included a duplicate every time...
327.  Mike MacFarlane - Royals
209.  Charlie O'Brien - Mets
215.  Pat Kelly - Yankees
268.  John Smiley - Twins
234.  Joe Oliver - Reds

Joe doesn't appear to be pleased with the umpire on the photo on the back of the card, but the front photo is even better!
268.  John Smiley - Twins
Again.
241.  Dean Palmer - Rangers
277.  Bob Zupcic - Red Sox
183.  Eric Anthony - Astros
93.  Randy Velarde - Yankees
129.  Jerry Browne - Athletics

And the award for most amusing photo (and worst reason to be scared) goes to Browne!  I'm guessing Jerry was never a fan of this particular card...
145.  Ruben Sierra -Athletics
This sure is an Athletics heavy pack!
189.  Mike Bordick - Athletics
Woah.  Did we get the full A's team set in this one pack?  Good grief!
158.  Derek Bell - Blue Jays
140.  Jerald Clark - Padres
73.  Rod Beck - Giants
4.  Star Rookie:  Willie Greene - Reds
40.  Community Heroes:  Dave Winfield
81.  Harold Baines - Ahtletics
87.  Bobby Witt - Athletics
Oh good, another two Athletics just in case we didn't have enough already!
HR21.  Homerun Heroes:  Matt Williams - Giants
It seems a little weird to have a Homerun Heroes card featuring a picture of what appears to be Matt Williams barking at the umpire after striking out...

That pack had eight Athletics in it (out of a total of 27 cards)!  Those eight A's are more than any other team's total card count (prior to this pack)!
