The 2002 Topps Reserve box promises three relics plus the autographed mini helmet. With only ten packs in the box, there's a one in three chance (basically) that a random pack will have a relic in it. Those are fun odds for a group break - and this is definitely a box that I will consider again in the future based on the number of hits in it. As always, let me know what you guys think about the box!
2002 Topps Reserve:
Pack 1:
48. Brad Penny - Marlins
60. Nathan Haynes - Angels
67. Brian Giles - Pirates
135. Mark Mulder - Athletics
As you can see, the backs of the card are fairly nice. Topps gives up to three years of MLB seasonal statistics, plus career totals. In addition, there is a small write-up plus all the player "vitals". The mug shot completes the back and is a different photo than what is on the front of the card - something that I always appreciate!
TRJ-AR. Relic: Alex Rodriguez - Texas Rangers
The back of the card says: "You just received an authentic Game-Worn uniform card of Alex Rodriguez from 2002 Topps Reserve Baseball." This is a nice little relic card - and a great pick-up for Play at the Plate who claimed the Rangers as his team.
