It was good timing that the next pack I opened happened to contain a hit...and that the pack gets to be scheduled at the exact time my wedding is to start. In that way, I guess we all win.
2002 Reserve:
Pack 4
4. Troy Glaus - Angels
11. Sammy Sosa - Cubs
74. J.J. Putz - Mariners
88. Juan Cruz - Cubs
TRJ-KW. Kerry Wood - Jersey - Cubs
Wow, what a pack for the Cubs! Three of the five cards were Chicago players, including the second hit out of the Reserve box. There should still be one more hit lurking in the remaining six packs, plus the autographed mini helmet of course!
As for the hit itself, that would have been a pretty hot commodity back in 2002. At least Kerry Wood is back with the Cubs, that makes the card a bit better I think! I do like the pinstripe going through the middle of the cloth - it's a nice card (even if it isn't of a Red).
