Here it is, the final three packs of the Group Break - I hope everyone enjoyed it...
2000 Fleer Showcase:
Packs 22, 23, & 24:
8. Barry Larkin - Reds
You know I'm happy about this one!
17. Juan Encarnacion - Tigers
The Tigers started off pretty slow in the group break but they picked it up quite a bit. Unfortunately, they were still one of the under-represented teams in the break.
24. Charles Johnson - White Sox
28. Albert Belle - Orioles
38. Jose Vidro - Expos
53. Brian Giles - Pirates
68. Jim Edmonds - Cardinals
70. Larry Walker - Rockies
74. Cliff Floyd - Marlins
75. Bernie Williams - Yankees
92. Shannon Stewart - Blue Jays
93. Erubiel Durazo - Diamondbacks
2 of 15. Consummate Prose: Alex Rodriguez - Mariners
12 of 15. Consummate Prose: Cal Ripken Jr. - Orioles
And finally, what is easily the best card in the entire group break...and probably the best card from any of my group breaks (at least, I think it's better than the dual relic Albert Pujols from the last group break)...

CAL RIPKEN JR!
There you are folks, group break #6 is in the books! I set some time aside this weekend to sort all the cards, random off the multi-team folders, and then package everything up. All cards should be in the mail Monday (but certainly no later than Wednesday). I hope everyone had fun - it was a blast for me (even if once again there wasn't a single Reds hit to be found)!
And for completion, here are the final (unofficial) group break statistics:

OH MY FREAKING GOD!
ReplyDeleteAn auto'd mini helmet, and a Ripken auto?
Duh, winning!
Yes, I know it's passe to quote Charlie Sheen.
Just realized I ended up with the only autos too.
ReplyDeleteI NEVER have this kind of luck...
Beardy,
ReplyDeleteI was pretty sure you were going to be glad to be in the break! I've never pulled such a nice auto, it's on card and everything! Obviously, you were the big winner but really, all the hits (except the Erstad) were decent this time around... All told, my group breaks have been firing on all cylinders the last couple of times, let that be a lesson for anyone on the fence for next month's break!
Looks like I picked up the wrong team in this break! Congrats beardy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats beardy.
ReplyDeleteYou get the mini-helmet with your random team and I get a total of 4 cards with mine lol.
