Despite all the hoopla surrounding the group break, not to mention the new puppy (which is currently asleep on my feet once again), I have managed to sneak in a few trades over the last week or so. Looking over at my stash of envelopes waiting to be scanned and written about, I've actually completed more than I thought I could - as I count 'em, there are currently nine envelopes waiting for me. At least one of those is a really old trade that somehow never got posted (I promise to get it up before the end of the year), but the rest are current trades.
For today's Delivery Time post, let's take a look at a quick little swap that I made with Colbey over at
Cardboard Collections. I sent Colbey a couple of relics off
my relic trade bait page (which you can read about on Colbey's blog
here). In return, Colbey sent me a couple of relics - plus some additional Reds because he's a generous guy!
Let's take a look at the goodies that I ended up with.
First up, a pair of relics from 2011 Allen & Ginter.
AGR-MBY. Marlon Byrd (bat)
AGR-JU. Justin Upton (bat)
I really like the Allen & Ginter relics but it does drive me nutty that there are relics with the same player and same number, yet a different type of relic. As such, it is going to take a bit more careful notekeeping so that I know which relics I have and which I still need.
Though, I suppose that does beg the question. Are two relics with the exact same number (but different relic type) the same card or not? Is the relic collection complete if I only have one of the two relic types? Inquiring minds want to know, so let me know what you think below!
Alright, along with the relics, I mentioned that Colbey also sent me some other goodies. Amongst those, he sent me some Barry Larkin cards (which get individual scans and posts in due time)...
...and a few other Reds cards.
Thanks for the trade Colbey! And, as always, if anyone else would like to trade - check out
my want list and make an offer!
Glad the cards arrived safely!
