A few days ago, blog reader Steve asked me if I would be willing to send him all my Ginter Code stuff (scans) in exchange for some cards off my want list.
Sure, I thought: I'll gladly trade virtual stuff for real cards! (It's kind of like why I traded roughly 12 cards for a single diamond die-cut on Topps giveaway site this year - I won't redeem the other 12 so why bother?)
Anyhow, virtual files for a code that may or may not be solved (I'm guessing not yet since it seems the Codemaster has a Twitter feed where clues are slowly doled out - complete crap if you ask me...but you didn't ask me so I'll shut up about that) are not worth too much.
In fact, the going rate for virtual files must be four Topps Town cards.
Oh yeah, I've been complaining about Topps Town cards for the past three weeks - and yet each trade package (seemingly) has at least one Topps Town card in it for me. Well, the jokes on all of you guys because all of my complaining has gotten me excruciatingly close to having both Series 1 and Series 2 Topps Town complete.
As of this moment, I have Series 1 done and only need 21 (four of which should be in the mail headed my way) more cards from Series 2 (
1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 21, 23, 26, 27, 35, 40, 41, 44, 49, 50). Any help is, of course, appreciated - even if I do complain about a set that I'm foolish enough to collect!
Thanks for the trade Steve - and, as always, if anyone else would like to trade - check out
my want list and make an offer!
