Topps Lineage Group Break: Box 1 - Packs 17 and 18

Sometimes the card gods do smile down on the "little guys."  Up until pack 17, the following teams have been without a single card from the Lineage box:  Rockies, Marlins, and Royals.  In the next two packs, one of those three teams is going to land a pair of cards (including an insert) while another team will land their first.  At the end of 18 packs, we can safely say that only one team is without a represntative!

Pack 17:

10.  Jim Palmer - Orioles
27.  George Sisler - Browns
I suppose this card should go to the Orioles since the Browns became the Orioles.
35.  Hanley Ramirez - Marlins

There's the first of the teams that was card-less to land a card.
111.  Neil Walker - Pirates
118.  Todd Helton - Rockies

And there's the second team to land their first card, both in the same pack!  That means only the Royals will be card-less after 18 packs.  Luckily, I packaged the Royals together with another team (in this case the Angels) so really, it's not as big of a deal as it could have been!
132.  Nick Markakis - Orioles
Three cards for the Orioles' stack in the pack, not bad!
TS13.  Stand-Ups:  Kevin Youkilis - Red Sox

50.  Platinum Anniversary:  Lou Gehrig - Yankees

Pack 18:

42.  Jackie Robinson - Dodgers
56.  Shane Victorino - Phillies
67.  Nelson Cruz - Rangers
74.  Brooks Robinson - Orioles
163.  Jered Weaver - Angels
172.  Jose Bautista - Blue Jays
180.  Marlon Byrd - Cubs
TCS25.  Cloth Sticker:  Carlos Gonzalez - Rockies

And with that, a team that a few minutes ago was completely void of Lineage cards now has a pair of cards, incuding a really cool cloth sticker card.  I hope the wait was worthwhile for Hiflew since he claimed the Rockies!
