Topps Lineage Group Break: Good News and Bad News

As the post title suggests, there is both good and bad news for the Topps Lineage Group Break.  First, the bad news.  According to a message I got yesterday from the seller, not only has the case not shipped (despite a suggested arrival date of yesterday), Topps had some sort of distribution issue which has resulted in a delay for the seller.  Again, according to that same message, the seller expects the case in hand by the end of the week which should mean the case arrives to me around this time next week (if we are lucky).

So that sucks for the time being, but on a much better note, I can say that all the team slots have indeed sold - so I will be adding in the box of 2010 Upper Deck Series 1 baseball!  And, since the case is delayed, let's start opening these packs so that the group break can remain on schedule!

2010 Upper Deck:
Series 1
24 packs, 18 cards per pack!

Pack 1:
Note:  Seeing that there are 18 cards per pack, I won't take the time to sort the cards...I'll simply list 'em in the order they are in the pack.  Here we go!

586.  Braun and Gallardo - Brewers Team Checklist - Brewers

73.  Nate McLouth - Braves
569.  Ballparks:  Toronto - Blue Jays

I've never opened a single pack of the 2010 Upper Deck set so every card is new to me...The ballpark card of the Rogers Center is pretty cool, I hope we get a Reds ballpark card in the box too!
515.  Lyle Overbay - Blue Jays
214.  Emilio Bonifacio - Marlins
378.  Eric Bruntlett - Phillies
506.  Jason Jennings - Rangers
198.  Brandon Inge - Tigers
S-94.  Supreme:  Albert Pujols - Cardinals

The Supreme card looks and feels a lot like some of the old StarQuest cards that Upper Deck used to have in their packs.  Since 'ol Albert is card number 94, I'm guessing these are one per pack.
262.  Erick Aybar - Angels
349.  Chien-Ming Wang - Yankees
521.  Marc Rzepcynski - Blue Jays
379.  Shane Victorino - Phillies
60.  Matt Diaz - Braves
468.  Brad Thompson - Cardinals
273.  Juan Pierre - Dodgers
426.  Nate Schierholtz - Giants

And with that pack, we are off on the group break!  More packs to come the rest of the week (don't worry though, I'll scatter in other stuff too).

Comments

  1. Supremes are random inserts and not all that easy to obtain, especially the blue ones. Good pull.

I'll be watching these posts. I'm down to the last 3 regular cards I need for the set and about 30 season biographies.
