Group Break: 1999 Flair Showcase - Packs 15, 16, 17, and 18

We are finally approaching the last few packs from each of the five boxes in the group break.  Let's keep the good times rolling though with another four packs from the Flair Showcase box.

Pack 15:
Seat 3 - Row 40:  Manny Ramirez - Indians
Seat 3 - Row 59:  Greg Vaughn - Reds
Seat 3 - Row 98:  Raul Mondesi - Dodgers
Seat 2 - Row 52:  Vinny Castilla - Rockies
Seat 3 - Row 34L:  Kris Benson - Pirates #06 of 99

The pack wrappers tell us to "look for sequentially numbered Legacy Collection basic card parallels, only 99 produced!" and wouldn't you know it...we found one!  Between the unexpected autograph yesterday and the now the Legacy Collection card today, we've had a couple nice packs!  Congrats to the Pirates on nabbing this really nice card (and the pack win).

Pack 16:
Seat 3 - Row 10:  Nomar Garciaparra - Red Sox
Seat 3 - Row 60:  Ray Lankford - Cardinals
Seat 3 - Row 97:  Alex Gonzalez - Marlins
Seat 2 - Row 15:  Kevin Brown - Dodgers
Seat 1 - Row 106:  Marquis Grissom - Brewers #2052 of 6000

The Dodgers started off slow but they've gained quite a few cards in the past few days.  However, the Kevin Brown parallel is definitely not good enough to top the Grissom serially numbered parallel...so the Brewers win their second pack while the Dodgers just miss out on winning their first.

Pack 17:
Seat 3 - Row 20:  Kerry Wood - Cubs
Seat 3 - Row 41:  Albert Belle - Orioles
Seat 3 - Row 61:  Jose Canseco - Rays
Seat 2 - Row 77:  Henry Rodriguez - Cubs

Seat 2 - Row 118:  Ricky Ledee - Yankees

A pair of parallels but the Cubs edge out the Yankees thanks to their extra base card in the pack.  This pack marks the Cubs fifth pack win of the break - tying them with the Reds, Astros, and Mets for third place overall thus far.

Pack 18:
Seat 3 - Row 12:  Troy Glaus - Angels

Seat 3 - Row 56:  Robin Ventura - Mets
Seat 3 - Row 134:  Reggie Sanders - Padres
Seat 2 - Row 63:  Shawn Green - Blue Jays
Seat 2 - Row 135:  Kevin Millwood - Braves
The back of the Troy Glaus says "Tony Glaus."  Errors like that make me laugh - and me laughing is enough for a pack win with the rather boring pack.  Congrats Angels!  By the way, the front of the card has Troy's name correct, go figure.
