Group Break: 2000 Fleer Gamers - Packs 9, 10, 11, and 12

How about a little more group break action...(and by little, I mean four more packs)!

Pack 9:
32.  Pedro Martinez - Red Sox

45.  Jason Kendall - Pirates
62.  J.T. Snow - Giants
88.  Magglio Ordonez - White Sox

With only base cards in the pack, there's not much to choose from.  I guess I'll give the Red Sox the pack victory.

Pack 10:
3.  Alex Rodriguez - Mariners
15.  Tim Salmon - Angels

16.  Manny Ramirez - Indians
18.  Jeff Kent - Giants

Before the last two packs, the Giants (somehow) had only managed two base cards.  Now, a mere pair of 4-card packs later, the Giants have doubled their base card output.  That's not enough, however, for San Francisco to win the pack - I think I'll give it to the Angels seeing how Salmon did earn a couple of Hall of Fame votes this week.

Pack 11:
14.  Gabe Kapler - Rangers
38.  Pokey Reese - Reds
58.  Eric Owens - Padres
59.  Matt Williams - Diamondbacks

I think any of the guys from the last pack would have been enough to beat any of the players in this pack.  Unfortunately, rules are rules and so I have to pick a winner out of this group of (mostly) bums.  I guess Matt Williams and the Diamondbacks makes the most sense to choose as the victor (but it's a hollow victory).

Pack 12:
8.  Kevin Brown - Dodgers
10.  Raul Mondesi - Blue Jays
52.  Brian Jordan - Braves
54.  Vladimir Guerrero - Nationals

The Nationals (really Expos for this break) have been one of the least impressive teams thus far (though they do lead the break (along with the Padres?!) in parallels pulled). This is only the fourth National base card - but the second pack win for the Nats so at least they make their cards count!

Aye - that wasn't the most exciting foursome of packs, now was it?  I guess they were ok for the team collectors out there though - and hey, at least most of the claimed teams landed a card in the post.
