Group Break: 2000 Fleer Tradition: Packs 9, 10, and 11

A quick shout out to the group break sponsor before we begin!

And now, let's crack open another trio of 2000 Fleer Tradition packs.

Pack 9:
35.  Pedro Astacio - Rockies
158.  Todd Dunwoody - Royals
163.  Darryl Kile - Cardinals
203.  Andres Galarraga - Braves
236.  Jeromy Burnitz - Brewers
312.  Tim Hudson - Athletics
361.  Todd Hollandsworth - Dodgers
382.  St. Louis Cardinals - Cardinals

389.  Rob Ryan / Nick Bierbrodt - Diamondbacks
6 of 15 WW.  Who to Watch:  Peter Bergeron - Nationals

I scanned the Cardinals team card just because but the Nationals win the pack thanks to their die-cut insert.

Pack 10:
38.  Ricky Ledee - Yankees
63.  Fernando Vina - Cardinals
107.  Mike Lieberthal - Phillies
216.  Jason Johnson - Orioles
243.  Damion Easley - Tigers
289.  Chuck Finley - Indians
340.  Juan Encarnacion - Tigers

392.  Texas Rangers - Rangers
412.  Detroit Tigers - Tigers
14 of 15 WW.  Who to Watch:  Vernon Wells - Blue Jays

The Vernon Wells Who to Watch insert is one of the few cards from that set in which the featured player actually became a decent player.  That said, the Tigers still managed to land three base cards in the pack - and that's enough for Detroit to eek out the pack win.

Pack 11:
11. Matt Mantei - Diamondbacks

110.  Ryan Klesko - Padres
144.  Dmitri Young - Reds
181.  Brian Giles - Pirates
226.  Rolando Arrojo - Rockies
263.  Gregg Jefferies - Tigers
309.  Mike Hampton - Mets
322.  Minnesota Twins - Twins
327.  Pokey Reese - Reds
432.  Homer Bush - Blue Jays

My Reds "earn" the pack win by having two base cards.  Really though, there's not much of interest in that pack...I don't know of any Matt Mantei collectors out there...
