We are down to four remaining 1999 Topps Finest Packs...here's half of them:
Pack 1:
38. Darryl Strawberry - Yankees
60. Greg Vaughn - Padres
78. Dante Bichette - Rockies
83. Jay Bell - Diamondbacks
96. Wally Joyner - Padres
121. Troy Glaus - Angels
A pair of Padres gives San Diego the pack win. That's their third pack victory of the break which means there are only ten teams that haven't won at least three packs thus far in the break. All things considered, that's a rather amazing distribution of pack wins...I definitely didn't expect such parity when I decided to keep track of such things!
Pack 2:
37. Brad Radke - Twins
43. John Wetteland - Rangers
50. Nomar Garciaparra - Red Sox
88. Sean Casey - Reds
89. Aaron Sele - Rangers
115. Derek Jeter - Yankees
While the Jeter card is nice enough, the Gems design looks more like snake skin to me... The pack win goes to the Rangers with their duo of base cards...and
