New Group Break! SIGN UPS ARE LIVE!

I've got a new group break ready to - all I need are 14 other participants...

What am I busting this time?  Some sets that should be a lot of fun.

However, before I get to what's in the break - I've got thank my sponsor of the break:  Baseball Card Exchange.

First, the biggest chunk of cards - 2000 Fleer Tradition.

This box has 36 packs with 10 cards per pack.  There are a variety of inserts including The Ripken Collection (claim those Orioles someone!) seeded 1:30 packs and Fresh Ink autographs seeded 1:144 packs.  All told, there are 9 different insert sets and based on the odds we should get at least one card for sure from eight of the nine.

Next, a box that I'm looking forward to opening simply because I have never busted a single pack of the product - Upper Deck Decade:  1970's Baseball.

This box has 24 packs with 5 cards per pack.  Each box is guaranteed to have a UD Decade Game-Bat card inside and there are some really nice possible autograph cards.  Also, each Decade box has a Joe DiMaggio hobby exclusive bonus pack with 3 cards including a possible game used or autograph cards.  Because of this, the Yankees will have a slightly higher cost.

The third box in the break also features Cal Ripken on the cover - 2000 Fleer Gamers.

The box contains 20 packs with 4 cards per pack.  This box also has a Cal Ripken Jr. insert set and possible relics and/or autographs.  The relics are seeded 1:72 packs, the signed relics 1:800.  But hey - last year I pulled an on-card autograph of Cal Ripken Jr. in one group break and an Albert Pujols dual relic in another so you never know!  Because of the two Fleer boxes and their love of Ripken, the Orioles price will also be a bit higher this time around.  Also notice there is a possible Derek Jeter autograph!

Those three boxes alone would probably make this group break worthwhile for most of you - but wait, there's still plenty more!  How about a little bit of Topps?  More specifically, how about some of Topps Finest?

The 1999 Topps Finest (Series 1) box comes with 24 packs (6 cards per pack).  There are a variety of inserts in this set as well, including refractors, sequentially numbered cards, and peel & reveal cards.  There are no stated odds on the box packaging though, so I have no idea how common or rare the various inserts are.

At this point I would understand you thinking that there couldn't possibly be anything else in the break...but you'd be wrong.  One more box and this one's a doozy.

1999 Flair Showcase!

The '99 Flair Showcase box has 24 packs with 5 cards per pack.  In this set, there are a whole bunch of inserts (including cards numbered 1 of 1 - a real rarity in the 90s)!

And that's the break - 5 different boxes, many of which could possibly hold some amazing cards.  Even without hitting it real big, there should be plenty of cards for everyone - and lots of cool inserts and designs that I'm guessing most people don't have in their collections.  All boxes are in hand and ready to be busted as soon as I have a full break!  So get signing up!

Each slot (except the Orioles and Yankees as noted above) is $17.00.  To claim the Orioles, the slot is $19.00 and to claim the Yankees, the slot is $22.00.  All prices include shipping.  Additional slots can be claimed for a discount of $3.00 per slot.  Each slot (including the Yankees and Orioles) is good for two teams - one of your choice and one random team amongst the 15 unclaimed teams.  If, for some reason, no one claims either the Yankees or Orioles they will be randomed off amongst participants for no extra fee.  I suppose you could gamble and risk that no one takes the higher priced teams if you want!  As always, team trading will be allowed once the extra teams have been assigned.
