Group Break 3: 1998 Flair Showcase (3 packs)

Someday I'll learn to writing flowing blog entries when busting packs of cards for a group break.  Until that day arrives, you'll have to settle for a minimal amount of text and a maximal amount of cards.

Pack 5:
25.  Flair - Showtime:  Andruw Jones - Braves
31.  Flair - Showstopper:  Brian Rose - Red Sox
82.  Flair - Showdown:  Kevin Brown - Padres
35.  Style - Showtime:  Chili Davis - Yankees
89.  Style - Showpiece:  Jim Thome - Indians

The Chili Davis card had a little bit of damage on the front of the card (some of the foil is chipped).  Other than that card though, the Showcase cards have been in great shape (which is good news for an old, shiny set like this one)!  I'm also not bothering to write up the diamond ink point cards - all of them seem to be of the 5 point variety and, since they are worthless now anyhow, I don't see the point.  If you really care, this pack had 5 points for Jose Cruz, Jr. but that's the last update you'll get barring any amazing point total pull.

82.  Style - Showpiece:  Kevin Brown - Padres

All told, not a bad couple of packs for the Orioles!  The Almoar is especially nice given that he's a Hall of Famer now.
