Group Break 4: 1999 Pacific Paramount - Packs 24, 25, 26, & 27

How about we get through the Monday together by looking at four packs out of the Pacific Paramount box?

Pack 24:
36.  Cal Ripken Jr. - Orioles
65.  Pokey Reese - Reds
125.  Jeff Cirillo - Brewers
193.  Eli Marrero - Cardinals
Gold parallel:  Bernie Williams - Yankees
19.  Personal Bests:  Vladimir Guerrero - Expos

How about that, the Expos landed a nice insert!  The Personal Best cards are seeded 1:37 packs meaning they are slightly better than a one-per-box hit!

Pack 25:
48.  Mark Grace - Cubs
69.  Roberto Alomar - Indians
82.  Todd Helton - Rockies
176.  Bobby Abreu - Phillies
243.  Carlos Delgado - Blue Jays
Gold parallel:  Raul Mondesi - Dodgers

That's the Dodgers first parallel of the break.  With the Mondesi, there are now 12 teams with at least one parallel card.  Not bad!

Pack 26:
26.  Ryan Kelsko - Braves
102.  Derek Bell - Astros
162.  Derek Jeter - Yankees
222.  Dan Wilson - Mariners
Gold parallel:  Sammy Sosa - Cubs
7.  Team Checklists:  Frank Thomas - White Sox

The Team Checklists are seeded 2:37 meaning we should expect about 2 per box.  Now that we landed the Thomas, we have found our quota of two (the other being Mo Vaughn of the Angels).

Pack 27:
47.  Gary Gaetti - Cubs
86.  Larry Walker - Rockies
175.  Miguel Tejada - Athletics
241.  Todd Zeile - Rangers
Gold parallel:  Craig Biggio - Astros
11.  Fielder's Choice Laser-Cut:  Mike Piazza - Mets

Woo!  The Fielder's Choice Laser-Cut cards are seeded 1:73 packs!  You can't tell (easily) by the scan, but the webbing in the glove is also cut out which makes the card even cooler.  We have now crushed the odds for this box...I think the only remaining type of card that we haven't landed are the Cooperstown Bound cards which are seeded 1:361 packs!   I don't expect we'll land one of those, but you never know...there are still a bunch of packs remaining in the box.
