A TCDB Surprise Card from mpdillard25!

Group Break #5: 1999 Fleer Brilliants - Four More Packs!

There are eight packs remaining in the 1999 Fleer Brilliants box - let's count 'em down by busting open the first half of them this morning.

Pack 8:
1.  Mark McGwire - Cardinals

22.  Chris Carpenter - Blue Jays
60.  Eric Karros - Dodgers
71.  Mike Cameron - Reds
80B.  Blue parallel:  Jay Buhner - Mariners

A McGwire card in 1999 was a great pull.  In 2012, not quite so much.

Pack 7:
13.  Quinton McCracken - Rays
62.  Ben Grieve - Athletics
119.  Brian Jordan - Braves

120.  Dean Palmer - Tigers
156.  Chad Allen - Twins

Another one of the 1:2 packs rookie cards, this time for the Twins.  Otherwise, that was a fairly boring pack (ok, that was a totally boring pack)!

Pack 6:
32.  Dante Bichette - Rockies
40.  Jeff King - Royals
83.  Javy Lopez - Braves
97.  Ivan Rodriguez - Rangers
23B.  Blue parallel:  Richie Sexson - Indians

The blue parallel cards of the veterans in the set are seeded 1:3 packs.  That's our second blue parallel though out of the final eight packs!

Pack 5:
45.  Rolando Arrojo - Rays
86.  Andruw Jones - Braves
13.  Roger Clemens - Yankees
114.  Todd Hundley - Dodgers
166.  Armondo Rios - Giants

Most of the rookie cards we've pulled have been guys who didn't become much in the big leagues.  At least I've heard of Rios...

Only four more packs and we'll have another one of the seven group break boxes finished off.  Stay tuned for more group break goodness in the upcoming hours (and days).
