A TCDB Surprise Card from mpdillard25!

Group Break #5: 2002 Fleer Box Score - Packs 16, 17, and 18

It is (finally) time to finish off our third box of the break - 2002 Fleer Box Score.  Before we do that though, let's give another shout out to Baseball Card Exchange - our group break sponsor!

Pack 16:
29.  Mike Sweeney - Royals
66.  Cliff Floyd - Marlins
70.  Ray Durham - White Sox
104.  Eric Chavez - Athletics
108.  Greg Vaughn - Rays
120.  Juan Gonzalez - Rangers
First Edition Parallel:  100.  Ivan Rodriguez - Rangers  #057/100
You can't tell by the scan but this card is snazzier than the rest of the base, I promise.

The First Edition parallels are all numbered out of 100.  The front of the card is shiny (unlike the regular base cards).  Congrats to the Rangers on another nice card!

Pack 17:
11.  Mike Cameron - Mariners
72.  Geoff Jenkins - Brewers
76.  Pokey Reese - Pirates
80.  Ben Grieve - Rays
89.  Jeff Suppan - Royals
98.  A.J. Burnett - Marlins
141.  Josh Hancock - Red Sox #2088/2499

The Hancock is part of the rookie portion of the base set (all rookies are numbered out of 2499).  That's the sixth sequentially numbered card for Boston in the break!

Pack 18:
6.  David Justice - Athletics
7.  Tino Martinez - Cardinals
23.  Jeff Weaver - Tigers
46.  Roy Oswalt - Astros
52.  Shannon Stewart - Blue Jays
83.  Darin Erstad - Angels
Amazing Greats:  20 of 20 AG.  Greg Maddux - Braves

Another insert card for the Braves - their third of the break.  As we wrap up the break, most teams have done quite well though a few could still use some major mojo in order to come out looking like a good choice (isn't that they way for all group breaks though)?  At least some of the unclaimed teams also did quite well - that should help make up for some of the weaker claimed teams.
