How does another three packs for the lunch time period sound? I thought you might like that.
Pack 05:
23. Jacque Jones - Twins
25. Sean Burroughs - Padres
44. Bernie Williams - Yankees
60. David Eckstein - Angels
93. Darin Erstad - Angels
This was a terrible pack in that all five cards were duplicates (already)! I do plan to mail out all the duplicates - unless you don't want your extras which would save me a bit on shipping, just let me know!
As of now, the Angels have 10 cards - but there are some teams that aren't doing nearly so well (like the Royals with 2 cards, the Brewers with 1 card, and the Blue Jays who still are shutout)! I'm sure that will all change before long, but it's still interesting to note!
Pack 06:
31. Kazuhisa Ishii - Dodgers
55. Carlose Delgado - Blue Jays
64. Nomar Garciaparra - Red Sox
97. Carlos Belran - Royals
121. Ticket to the Majors: Guillermo Quiroz - Blue Jays #1282/1850
I swear I wrote the above paragraph before I opened this pack! A Royal and a pair of Blue Jays renders most of what I wrote above moot! The Quiroz card features what appears to be a mini ticket embedded in the front of the card (almost like a relic) and it's numbered out of 1850. The card is numbered as part of the base set though - there are 15 different Ticket to the Majors cards (all numbered out of 1850). Congrats to Toronto, sometimes good stuff does come to those who wait!
Pack 07:
5. Miguel Tejada - Athletics
38. Rich Aurilia - Giants
77. Jason Giambi - Yankees
BA-AD. Bat Authentix Ripped: Adam Dunn - Reds
The Bat Authentix Ripped relic cards are seeded 1:78 packs which makes this a nice little hit for your humble group break host! There are Ripped jersey relic cards as well in the set (which happen to be much more common at 1:10 packs). There are also unripped versions of both relic types which are serially numbered (and presumably much rarer).
I love the Ticket to the Majors cards in this set! Sure they're small, but a very cool idea. I just wish they would have used actual tickets in the cards. Nice Dunn pull!
