Ginter Group Break: Box 4: Packs 13 - 16

I'm back with another quartet of packs.

Box #4:
Pack 13:
Aoki - Brewers
Floyd - White Sox
Longoria - Rays
Palmer - Orioles
What's in a Name:  Derek Jeter - Yankees
A&G back:  76.  Desmond Jennings - Rays
A&G back:  173.  Jay Bruce - Reds

Framed relic:  AGR-MPH.  Michael Phelps - (swimmer)

Woah, what a pack!  We got an extra mini (as you can see) and we also got one of the most sought after relic cards, especially with the Olympics around the corner!  As with all the non-baseball hits, this will also be distributed randomly to one of the teams without a hit at the end of the break.  I should note that this is the first pack (in 3+ boxes) where I've had the wrong number of cards.  Last year, Topps had a lot of issues with missing minis in packs, but it appears so far (knock on wood) that they've fixed whatever was causing the issues in the past.

Pack 14:
McDonald - Pirates
Nolasco - Marlins
Santana - Mets
Axford - Brewers
Lowrie - Astros
Teixeira - Yankees
Reg. mini:  20.  Miguel Montero - Diamondbacks
What's in a Name:  3.  Ryan Howard - Phillies

After the excitement of last pack, we were due for a bit of a downer weren't we?

Pack 15:
Trout - Angels
Halladay - Phillies
Pacheco - Rockies
Haren - Angels
Gardner - Yankees
Baseball Sketch:  8.  Derek Jeter - Yankees
Giants of the Deep:  Right Whale

Base short print:  332.  Guy Bluford (astronaut)

Pack 16:
Hendricks - Twins
Beltran - Cardinals
Bailey - Red Sox
Schmidt - Phillies
Santana - Indians
Baseball Sketch:  15. Ken Griffey Jr. - Mariners

Reg. mini:  160.  Shane Victorino - Phillies
Base short print:  316.  Adrian Gonzalez - Red Sox

I like the Griffey sketch card quite a bit - a nice pull for lifetimetopps who has the Mariners in the break.

So far, no complaints about the quality of relics that we've pulled in the case.  We haven't hit any great autographs yet, but there's still time!

  1. Is it just me or does Michael Phelps look more like a beach volleyball player than a swimmer on that card?
