UD Retro Week: Three More Packs!

This morning, I opened up the first two packs out of the 1998 UD Retro box (go back through the archives to find that entry).  Now, let's get the break moving along by busting a trio of old school goodness packs.

Pack 3:

What a great pack full of stars of the "olden" days!  Kaline, Berra, Brock, and Nolan Ryan.  You can't ask for much more than that.  The Berra photo is particularly awesome, even if he is a Yankee!

The Big Bopper cards are all numbered out of 500.  The complete Big Bopper set consists of 30 different cards (which makes the set quite difficult to put together)!

I guess getting a pair of Futurama cards is the equivalent of a booby prize.  Each of the first four packs contained an insert card - this one did not.  I also found the Eddie Matthews photo to be a bit odd...why is his bat curved?

So far, so good.  The serially numbered card was a nice bonus for the box (and we are only 5 packs into it)!  Let's hope the cool stuff continues as the week goes on.
