My first group break of 2013 is almost finished (finally)! I know some of you have missed my non-group break posts...so much pack ripping lately! Anyhow, there are six packs remaining in the final box. Here's a third of them.
2005 Upper Deck Pennants:
5. Billy Williams - Cubs
17. Dale Murphy - Braves
23. Early Wynn - Indians
29. Frank Howard - Senators (Twins)
75. Ron Santo - Cubs
This happened to be a nice pack for the Cubs - certainly two out of five base cards is enough to garner a pack win.
52. Lou Brock - Cardinals
80. Rick Ferrell - Red Sox
85. Warren Spahn - Braves
90. Yogi Berra - Yankees
DG. Past Time Signatures: Dwight Gooden - Mets
For this break, I ended up with the Reds, Mets, and Brewers. The Brewers have been the worst team of the break by pretty much any standard. The Reds have done ok in terms of base cards but haven't garnered much else. And, up until this pack, the Mets didn't have much to offer either. It's funny how a single pack can change one's outlook on the group break in an instant! Easy pack win for the Mets - and yet another great card out of the Pennants box.
