Barry Larkin
Year: 1987
Brand: Classic
Card number: 18
Classic made quite a few sets in the late 80s that all followed the same basic structure. You get a brief bit of player statistics and then five trivia questions (not necessarily having anything to do with the pictured player). As you can by the questions on Larkin's card, there isn't much of a rhyme nor reason to the questions asked, though one would anticipate a HR question is tougher than a Double question.
Since this is a 1987 card, it is one (of many) different Barry Larkin rookie cards in my collection. I still don't think it compares to the 1987 Topps rookie (my personal favorite) but it's still a pretty nice card (and it's easily better than the other offerings from Classic in 1987). For some reason, I really like the photo - it looks like it was a photo taken with a cell phone and then filtered through an Instagram filter. Of course, it wasn't (that's how cameras were back then kids).
