My quest to complete the 1990 Topps set is almost complete. As such, I suppose I ought to start thinking about which "junk wax" set I want to work on next. Should it be 1990 Fleer? How about the yellow '91 Fleer? Do people have lots of excess '93 or '94 Fleer sitting around? Maybe '92 Topps.
Decisions, decisions!
While I try to decide the next course of action for myself, let's take a gander at some of the recent cards to make their way to my mailbox. The following are all courtesy of blog reader Jeff (thanks Jeff)!
Jeff helped me further my '90 Topps set by including a small stack of cards for me. As has been true for most trades involving '90 Topps, I added a couple more manager cards to my set.
I seriously have no idea what I did to all my old manager cards - but at least I've been able to replace them via card swaps! Jeff included a few other '90 Topps but none were as cool as this Ken Patterson card.
I love the light poles in the background - something screams "spring training" to me!
Jeff also included another card from my want list - this nice Cole Hamels A&G mini card.
I'm not sure if I'll ever actually finish off the 2012 A&G mini set but at least having a slow trickle of minis keeps me somewhat optimistic!
Finally, Jeff threw in a few Reds including this gorgeous Johnny Bench card...
We'll end with this George Foster.
Unlike Bench, Foster is a player who hasn't gotten nearly the same level of love from Topps over the years. Of course, while Foster was certainly good, Bench is one of the best ever at his postion - so I suppose I can't blame Topps for including more Bench cards than those of Foster. Still, it's nice to mix it up sometimes so the George Foster is appreciated!
Speaking of appreciated, trades are always appreciated so thanks Jeff! And, as always, if anyone else would like to trade - check out my want list and make an offer!
