Allen & Ginter Case Rip: Box #3 - Packs 17 - 24

By the time I'm done with this post, my case will be 1/4 of the way complete.  That actually makes me quite sad...Ginter goes so quick!

Pack 17:

This was a two mini pack...one was a regular back short print of Yadier Molina while the other was the black bordered mini of Nick Saban.

Pack 18:

It's not everyday you have a set that can fit in a card of Epicurus.  The Inquiring Minds mini set is great - now if only Topps would do a Famous Mathematicians set in next year's edition of Ginter.

Pack 19:

Pack 19 was totally devoid of anything worth scanning.  Even the mini was lame...

Pack 20:

I was lucky enough to be able to visit Shonbrunn Palace earlier this year.  The place is amazing (as are the gardens outside).  Trust me, the photo doesn't do it justice (and really, nothing except being there does).

Pack 21:

When Drew Stubbs was a Red at least I felt like it was sort of exciting when I pulled a hit of his (even though I don't really care for him as a player).  Now that Stubbs has moved to Cleveland, getting a relic of him is totally worthless to me (unless I decide to go for the framed relic set of course).  I will say this is a disappointing final hit for the box...

Pack 22:

A Brandon Phillips short print, a Civilizations card, an A&G mini short print, and a card of Ceres.  Not a bad pack - much much better than say Pack 19!

Pack 23:

Another Inquiring Minds card, this is the third such card from the case thus far.

Pack 24:

It's hard to not scan a card of Samurai...but a mini card of Reds' great Tony Perez is just a bit better...and a great way to close the third box of the case.

So far, I've enjoyed what I've opened though my hits have been mostly disappointing.  I'm not looking to get a million dollars but a little bit of a return would be appreciated...after all, it takes a lot of saving (and selling) to be able to save up enough for a case of Ginter each year.

  1. Intended for Pack 19: "Booooooo!"

Oh, and I may be the only other blogger out there that will second this: "...now if only Topps would do a Famous Mathematicians set in next year's edition of Ginter."
