TCDB Monday: It's a Monster, Folks!

Aliens and Alien Avengers!

A couple of days ago, I posted part 1 of a countdown of the best LEGO minifigures that I ended up with thanks to a recent eBay purchase.  If you missed the Sad Clown or the Skater Girl, check out the first part of the countdown.

Today, we return to the envelope holding the minifigures in order to uncover the fourth and third best figures.

#4:  Alien Avenger (Series 9):

Normally, I would have ranked the Alien Avenger figure a lot higher than fourth place.  However, LEGO has gone overboard with the Space themed alien figures in the Collectible Minifigure Series.  In fact, they've pretty much killed the genre for me - this guy only ranks as high as he does because he's got a great pissed off looking face - and I like his armor as well!

The back of the figure is pretty plain (though there is a bit of printing on the side of his armor).  Overall, this is one of the better space figures from the various series...but it's not unique enough to warrant a higher placement on the countdown.

The next figure is another space figure - but this one is a bit more unique!

#3:  Classic Alien (Series 6):

That's right, it's a good 'ol fashioned alien!  The figure comes complete with a bug-eyed head piece and a ray gun (good for classic alien probings I assume).

Each Collectible Minifigure series seems to offer up at least one "nontraditional" figure for collectors - the Classic Alien fits in that mold (joining other figures like a yeti, werewolf, and a Minotaur).

We have now discovered four of the six figures - which two placed at the top of the charts?

You'll have to stay tuned to find out!

  1. I've never seen the Classic Alien before and it is really a great mini figure! Two more to go.
